The tour will start with a visit to Antonella’s diary where she will show you her farm with cows and goats from which she gets the milk to make her delicious cheese. You will discover how cheese is made and have a tasting of Antonella’s cheese and other products of the local area such as bread made with organic wheat, honey, biological vegetables and other products.
Next we will set off towards Colli Euganei (Euganean Hills) that is a protected regional park with beautiful landscapes and thousands of vineyards. There we will visit one the most beautiful Renaissance building of the region, Villa dei Vescovi. Here you will be free to visit the villa at your pace, learn a bit of Italian history and art, sip a glass of wine or an aperitif under the “portico” with its “affresco” and admire the astonishing panorama. We will have a picnic on the park of the villa eating cheese, bread and other local products.
After lunch we will go to a local olive oil mill where the family of Paolo and Pierangela will show you the laboratory where they produce the oil with local olives and they will explain you all the process to get an excellent Italian olive oil. At the end you will have an oil tasting so that you will be able to distinguish the different qualities of oil. Here you can buy and order your favourite Italian olive oil.
After this experience we will chill out at the Euganean thermal baths where you can relax in the hot waters coming out from 3000-meters deep springs. You can choose to soak up in the therapeutic waters of the pools, steam up in the sauna or simply rest on sunbeds, surrounded by a green golf court, sipping a drink while admiring the hills.
Finally after this resting stopover we will head back to Padova where our tour finishes.
